Projects
This is a collection of projects I have made during my time at UW Madison. I have a passion for video/audio production and these projects reflect that. Making these projects was a ton of fun and very rewarding since I'm hoping to pursue a career in film production. These projects helped to provide building blocks for my future since I learned skills like: audio editing, audio recording, script writing, music analysis, sound design, set building, collaboration, thoughtful planning and much more.
Dinner Table Scene
Class Project Role: Mixer/Sound Designer
I filmed a short dinner table scene from a script with a group of people, for a cinematography course that focused on dramatic visual and auditory storytelling. Since I was the mixer I had to record the audio using a MM-1 bridging amp, 633 mixer/recorder, tentacle lav mics, and use Adobe Premiere Pro for mixing the audio and making sure audio and video was synched up. The challenge of this scene was to have a handoff, meaning as characters move through the scene the camera changes who or what it's following in a shot.

For this project since we had multiple actors I had to make sure everyone was heard clearly, so switching back and forth from one persons audio to everyone's was so cool that I could even hear a hairpin drop. We were all very proud of this project and so was the professor since this scene later got shown in the Communication Arts Showcase.
Mini Song Analysis Podcast Episode
Class Project
This project is an 11 minute analysis podcast episode from a music industries course, that focuses on how songs can create a shift in the music industry. I used Adobe Audition to record and edit audio. The mini episode features an analysis of the song You're On Your Own Kid by Taylor Swift. This project was a lot of fun because I love this song and was able to connect course concepts to personal experiences. This project taught me a lot about script writing, planning on how to fit analysis within a certain amount of time, and having a presenter voice.
